Beast of Burden will premier at Richmond's historic Byrd Theatre on May 19th and follow with screenings in Tidewater, Northern Virginia and North Carolina...dates to be announced.
Logline: In the quiet town of Burden, Virginia, a Beast of old returns...It will take many hostages before it sets one man free.
'Beast' is produced under the banner of JOY FILMS in association with STUDIO 108. Each episode will be part of a collection of "Short Stories on Film" made available for retail and eventually download...and serve as a stand alone short for festivals with the desired result of securing development deals for full length feature films based on the same stories. John Grisham wrote and co-produced an original screenplay entitled "MICKEY". Directed by Hugh Wilson, starring Harry Connick Jr. and co-starring Mark Joy, "MICKEY" demonstrates Grisham's passion for baseball and teaches our characters about integrity, fair play, and ultimately having to face the inescapable consequences of their actions.
